Master of Science in Industrial and Applied Mathematics (M2 MSIAM)

Jointly offered by Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) IM2AG and Grenoble INP Ensimag

The Master of Science in Industrial and Applied Mathematics program offers a large spectrum of courses, covering areas where the research in applied math in Grenoble is at the best level It is a highly competitive graduate program, taught in English, offering training in the areas of:

Graduate School GS@UGA

The objective of the UGA Graduate School (GS@UGA) is to meet tomorrow’s scientific and societal challenges to create a better future. The UGA Graduate School (GS@UGA) is a structuring and transdisciplinary programme that prepares French and international students, through the two-year Master's programme, for doctoral research or direct professional integration.

15 Thematic programmes among which MSTIC : mathématiques, sciences et technologies de l'information et de la communication
(Mathematics and ICT) Computer science, mathematics, applied mathematics, automatic control, signal processing, biomedicine, computer, architecture, computer security, artificial intelligence..

If you are looking for a research oriented master program, the MSTIC program of the Graduate School is for you!
When applying for an M1 program (MoSIG or M1 Applied Mathematics), you can choose to do it in the framework of the Graduate School.
During the two years of your master you will also pursue a project on a research topic with a dedicated tutor from a research team and dedicated time slots corresponding to 6 ECTS credits that replace 1 or 2 courses. After these two years and once you have completed your master degree you can continue on a phD thesis on the same research topic.
Foreign students in the graduate school program can apply for a dedicated funding that lasts for the two years of study (more information to come, on the Financial aid section)
